At tonight’s meeting of the Yucca Valley Town Council, the council will hear a recap of last year’s Mara’s Christmas Wish. The council will be asked to approve a contract for a town-wide crack-seal project; approve plans to abandon septic tanks for town buildings in anticipation of the future sewer project; amend the budget for street cleaning following the two big rain storms and declare another town emergency for the Valentine’s Day rain storm; hear an update on the Grubstake Days parade; form an ad hoc committee for the new aquatics center; and hear an update on homelessness. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
