The Yucca Valley Town Council will hold its regular meeting tonight. Among the items on the consent agenda, the Council will receive a certificate of achievement for excellence in financial reporting. Under department reports, the Council will receive the budget report for the fiscal year just ended and direct staff on whether—and how much—nearly $600,000 in excess revenue should be allocated to road maintenance; future projects; or unfunded liabilities. Following the open session, the Council will go into closed session to conference with legal negotiators over anticipated litigation. The council meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley community center. The following day, the Oversight Committee of the Dissolved Redevelopment Agency will meet at 8:30 a.m. in the Community Center’s Mesquite Room to conduct routine business.
