YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL MEETS TONIGHT, BREHM SPORTS PARK AGREEMENT ON THE AGENDA

The Yucca Valley Town Council will start off their meeting tonight with a closed session at 5:30, in which they will discuss the goals and objectives of the town manager. The town council will have a busy agenda when it moves into open session at 6 p.m. It will hear a presentation from Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent David Smith. On the consent agenda, it will be asked to deny claims filed against the town by Mark Alan Vanderpool and Timothy Peth. It will hold a public hearing on a planning commission decision about Billings Transfer on Yucca Trail; and be asked to approve three different amendments to the town’s development code. Finally, it will be asked to approve an agreement to formally acquire Brehm Sports Park from the Basin Wide Foundation. The meeting will be held in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
