YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL MEETS TONIGHT

The Yucca Valley Town Council will hold its regular meeting at 6 p.m. tonight. The meeting will start with the recognition of Employees of the Year, as well as retirees. Among the items on the consent agenda, the council is expected to adopt ordinances amending several sections of the Development Code and Municipal Code, authorize levy of a Special Service Tax on real property within Community Services District 11-1, and award a $400,000 construction contract for a town-wide slurry seal project. The Council will then hold two public hearings; one related to annual assessments on real property, and another on vacating easements at Dumosa and the Highway. And finally, the council will hear departmental reports and make several determinations relating to the coming fiscal year budget, among other matters. The meeting will be held in the Yucca Room of the community center.
