Among the items on the consent agenda for tonight’s meeting of the Yucca Valley Town Council, council members will be asked to approve the purchase of new back-up generators for the animal shelter, request bids to renovate Buena Vista Drive, and authorize an extension of the contract with the Desert Regional Tourism Authority for one year for $25,000. The council will then hear a report on and provide direction to staff on establishing electoral districts in the town. Finally, the council will discuss the town’s strategic plan for 2018-20. The council will then go into closed session for property negotiations with Hawks Ridge.
