Among the items on tonight’s consent agenda of the Yucca Valley Town Council, the council will be asked to: approve an amendment to the contract with the town’s lawyers; authorize the purchase of a new dump truck for $167,000; authorize the demolition of a public nuisance building at 56601 29 Palms Highway; and authorize the submission of an application for off-highway enforcement grants. Next the council will hear department reports on legislative priorities, receive an update on mandatory commercial organics recycling, and accept an amendment update from the Colorado River Basin Water Quality Control Board. The council members will then go into closed session to discuss initiating litigation. The meeting starts at 6:00 in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
