After a month off, the Yucca Valley Town Council gets down to business again tonight. Managing editor Tami Roleff tells us what’s on the council’s agenda…
Tonight’s Town Council meeting will begin with another presentation of the Spirit of Yucca Valley award, followed by a presentation by the Hi-Desert Water District on the progress of the new sewer system. On the consent agenda, the council will be asked to approve submitting an application for two charging stations for electric vehicles. The council will hold a public hearing during which it will be asked to approve a vacation request of a 33-foot easement on the east side of Palm Avenue. The council will also hear an update on recycling. And finally, the council will be asked to approve an amendment to the town manager’s contract. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
Following the regular meeting, the council will go into closed session for real estate negotiations over the old gas station at 55460 Highway 62.
