Among the items on tonight’s consent agenda is a request to the town’s planning commission to hold public hearings on updating the town’s development code concerning landscaping and water conservation, based on recent changes to state law. The council will also authorize emergency repairs to Crestview Drive, a private dirt road, that was extensively damaged during the Valentine’s Day rain storm. The council will hold a public hearing tonight on changes made by the planning commission to the town’s ordinance on personal marijuana cultivation. Next the council will appoint members to the Revenue Measure Oversight Commission. Other items include updates on capital projects and state legislation, and a community clean-up day. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
