After recognizing the town’s new school resource officer and an award to a Sheriff’s Safety Specialist, the Yucca Valley Town Council will be asked to approve two amendments to the town’s development code concerning second dwelling unit standards and accessory structures. Next, in anticipation of a new state bond that would provide funds for a new pool, the town will hear an update on the swim program at the high school pool. Council members will also hear about a budget surplus. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
