Among the items on the consent agenda for tonight’s meeting of the Yucca Valley Town Council, the council will be asked to approve a 15-year lease with the county for the library in the old PFF Bank Building, and approve repairs to the California Welcome Center building and parking lot. The council will also direct the planning commission to hold hearings on amendments to the development code concerning the indoor cultivation of cannabis. On the action agenda, the council will discuss supporting the California Pet Blood Bank Modernization Act. Next, the council will be asked to approve a contract for a needs assessment and design study for the new aquatics center, and will advertise for bids for the new library. And finally, the council will form an ad hoc committee to discuss dirt roads in the town. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
