YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL LOOKS AT $4.9 MILLION SHERIFF’S CONTRACT

Among the items on the consent agenda for tonight’s regular meeting of the Yucca Valley Town Council, the council will direct the Revenue Measure Ad Hoc committee to review applications and conduct interviews for a new committee member. The council will also be asked to approve a street vacation and public easement at Mohawk Trail. Next up are reports from the Hi-Desert Nature Museum, approval of a $16,000 grant for the museum, and an approval of the Sheriff’s Department contract for $4.9 million. Finally, the council will be asked to approve the transfer of state vehicle license fees from the town to the Morongo Basin Transit Authority. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
