Tonight’s meeting of the Yucca Valley Town Council will begin with an update from the county fire department, followed by the consent agenda which includes the awarding of a contract for $46,500 for public education services, polling, and project management in connection with the potential sales tax measure on the November ballot. Next, a public hearing will be held on community development block grants, in which the council will be asked to allocate the entire $126,000 to the Paradise Park project. Finally, the council will be asked to award a contract for $19,670 for an information technology master plan, and to award a construction contract for $371,800 for Paradise Park improvements. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
