The Yucca Valley Town Council has called a special meeting for tonight. Managing editor Tami Roleff explains why…
The Yucca Valley Town Council will hold a special meeting tonight during which it will appoint members to the Aquatics and Recreation Project Citizen Advisory Group. The Council will appoint five members from the community to the advisory group; the planning commission and parks and recreation commission will each appoint a commissioner, and the community services manager will recommend a youth commissioner to be appointed. The Town Council wants the advisory group established prior to the second workshop meeting for the pool and recreation center, which is set for Thursday. After making the appointments, the Town Council will go into closed session to discuss potential litigation filed against the town by Nicholas Colegio. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
