The Yucca Valley Town Council will have lots of routine business during its regular meeting tonight. First, it will recognize the Community Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster. The council will hold a public hearing on amending the municipal code concerning single family residential structures located in industrial land use districts. The council will also be asked to approve a waiver of the fee for the use of town facilities for Tender Loving Christmas. Council members will hear a report on the Hi-Desert Nature Museum’s inventory. And finally, the council will discuss a symbolic display to recognize local law enforcement. The council will then go into closed session to negotiate an extension to the town manager’s contract. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
