At tonight’s meeting of the Yucca Valley Town Council, the Council will recognize the members of the Youth Commission and will also recognize council member Bob Leone, who is retiring. Among the items on the consent agenda, the council will advertise for bids for improvements at Paradise Park; waive the facilities fee for Mara’s Christmas Wish and approve funding of $5,000 for the event; and review the projects for the community development block grant program. The Council will be asked to retain the current public facility development impact fee structure during a public hearing. And finally, the council will receive a comprehensive financial report and a public works report, and will authorize a request proposals for a new aquatics center. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
