YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL HEARS PLANS FOR RESIDENTIAL SEWER CONNECTIONS

The Yucca Valley Town Council heard a presentation last night about what residents will need to do with their septic tanks when the sewer project is completed. Residents of single family homes will need to get a permit, estimated to cost about $180, for the lateral pipe that will connect their home to the main sewer line. Their lateral pipe and connection will need to be inspected twice—the first will be of the lateral pipe and a pressure test, and the second will be of the septic tank to ensure it is either destroyed or filled in. The Town plans to draw up a hand-out sheet for residents that will guide them through the process.
