At the last meeting of the Yucca Valley Town Council, the organizers of the Grubstake Days rodeo had asked for $50,000 for the rodeo. The council denied the request, but asked that the item be placed on a future agenda. Tonight, the council will be asked to approve a $5,000 donation for the rodeo. Other items on the agenda include awarding contracts for architectural design and renovation of the PFF Bank building into the new library; revising the town’s reserve and fund balance policy; approving a pension funding and stabilization policy; and approving a new legal firm for the town. The meeting is set for 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
