YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL HEARS FROM JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK IN BUSY SESSION

The Yucca Valley Town Council will hear a presentation from Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent David Smith at tonight’s meeting. Among items on the consent agenda, council members will be asked to approve a contract with an agency to provide marketing data; approve the five-year Measure I capital improvement project; a town-wide slurry seal project; resurface the tennis courts at Jacobs Park; and grant a request for $4,500 to the Bring Back Grubstake Days committee. The council will hear the final report from the town’s Youth Commission, and hear a public safety report from Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Joling. Also on the agenda is a review of the capital improvement plan and approve the 2016-18 budget. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
