Tonight’s Yucca Valley Town Council meeting, set for 6:00, will open with a trio of presentations, followed by a resolution in opposition to the proposed release of a sexually violent predator into Twentynine Palms. Reporter Joshua King has the story…
The meeting will begin with an update on the National Park from Superintendent David Smith, followed by presentations on Donate Life Month on behalf of One Legacy and Child Abuse Prevention Month by the San Bernardino County Children’s Network.
The council will then seek to ratify a letter of opposition to the release of sexually violent predator Lawtis Donald Rhoden into the Twentynine Palms area. Rhoden has been found guilty of multiple underage sexual assaults and has served prison terms in Tennessee, Orange County, and L.A. County.
The meeting will close with the approval of a working relationship with RHA Landscape Architects in the amount of $14,600 towards Old Town Yucca public improvements.
