YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL GETS “STATE OF THE TOWN” AND TOWN MANAGER RAISE

After a State of the Town address by Mayor Bob Leone, the Yucca Valley Town Council will be asked to approve an amended contract for its town manager. The amended contract will increase the manager’s salary to $168,000, retroactive to July 15, 2016, and extend his contract to July 15, 2020. Other items on the agenda include changing the holiday pay policy for part-time employees; approving a $48,000 contract for its heating and air-conditioning services; and reviewing projects for the community development block grant programs. The council will then hear a report on a comprehensive annual financial report, hear the year-end budget report, and hear an update on the negotiations with the county for the proposed replacement of the Yucca Valley library. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
