Yucca Valley will host the Morongo Basin Veterans’ Tribute Friday, November 11, at the north side of the Yucca Valley Community Center. The event begins with a free breakfast at 8 a.m. in the Yucca Valley Senior Center for veterans, military, and public safety personnel and their families. The tribute begins at 10, with the formalities starting at 11. Brigadier General William Mullen from the Combat Center, as well as local and regional dignitaries will address the audience, and the Young Marines will perform a flag-folding ceremony. Entertainment will be provided by the Yucca Valley High School jazz ensemble. There will be an extensive display of public safety and military vehicles and equipment. The Yucca Valley Elks Lodge will serve a barbecue lunch.
