YUCCA VALLEY TENNIS TEAM BEATS SHADOW HILLS

The Yucca Valley High School girls’ varsity tennis team beat Shadow Hills High School Thursday, 11-7. Coach Cindy Miller said stand-outs in singles were Katie Brattain and Carrie Scofield, who went 3-0; April Bratcher was 1-2. In doubles, Dawn Rich and Moriah Goddard went 2-1. Aislinn Gueltzow and Miranda Green were 1-2 and Nikole Cody and Alli Koedel, 1-2. The team played really well. The team is now 11-0 and in first place. Next up is Rancho Mirage on Monday. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the girls will be playing in the DeAzna League Finals at Indian Wells. Start time on Tuesday will be at 1:00.
