The Yucca Valley High School girls’ varsity tennis team beats Desert Hot Springs 17-1.
Coach Cindy Miller said in singles, Abby Aubuchon had a shut-out: 6-0, 6-0, 6-0. Mckayla Henry also won in three sets, 6-1, 6-1, 6-1; and Eden Ricketts 7-5, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, Mckenzi Monical and Rylie Rohr went 6-1, 6-1, 6-0. Alex Costa and Jadya Henry went 6-0, 5-7, 7-6 (7-5); Rachelle Henriquez and Kennia Torres were 6-0, 6-4, 6-1.
The team is now 10-1 in league.
The team is ranked eighth in Division 5 as of October 8.
