The Town of Yucca Valley has announced the temporary closure of the community pool for today, (Monday, August 3), due to poor air quality. Recreation staff will contact registered participants regarding program schedule updates.
On August 1, the Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District issued a poor air quality advisory for the Morongo Basin and surrounding areas because of heavy smoke from the nearby Apple Fire.
