YUCCA VALLEY SWIM TEAMS WINS AGAINST COACHELLA VALLEY

The Yucca Valley High School boys’ and girls’ swim teams hosted Coachella Valley High School in their first league dual meet Wednesday. 

Coach Rebecca Pessa said the 200-medley relay of Robert Reyes- backstroke, Ryley Arrona- breaststroke, Carl Manter- butterfly, and Cameron Collins- freestyle, started the meet strong with a first place finish, and the boys and never looked back with a final score of 73-63 for a first league win for the Trojan boys.

The girls dominated the pool, out-swimming the Arabs 122-54, and taking first place in eight of 11 events.  The 200-freestyle relay of Markina Evdokimoff, Skye Hansen, Jordyn Koger, and Kaylee Powell qualified for CIF with a consideration time.
