The Town of Yucca Valley’s Summer Music Festival begins tomorrow evening with the blues sensation, Lightnin’ Willie and the Poor Boys. Gates open at 6 p.m. at the Yucca Valley Community Center ball field and the concert will start at 7:00 p.m. With guest host, Councilman George Huntington. Z107.7 radio personality Sam Smith will be the MC for the concert. Lightnin’ Willie & the Poor Boys brings richness to their music through guitar, bass, drums keyboards and harmonica to evoke the styling of Muddy Waters, T-Bone Walker and Albert King. Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on during the show. The presentation by Lightnin’ Willie and the Poor Boys are sponsored by Bruce Jones Dentistry and Pacific Marine Credit Union. Media sponsors are the Hi-Desert Publishing Company and Z107.7 FM. The Summer Music Festival continues each Saturday evening through August 17.
