A strike team from Yucca Valley was dispatched this morning to a wind-driven brush fire along Highway 18 and Old Waterman Canyon Road above the city of San Bernardino. Dubbed the Old Water Fire, mandatory evacuation orders have been issued for about residents in the immediate area. Spurred on by high winds, the vegetation fire has burned more than 75 acres as of about 6 a.m. Fire Battalion Chief Scott Tuttle told Z107.7 FM News the fire is 0% contained as of this morning.
