You may want to avoid the highway through Yucca Valley. The Town of Yucca Valley will perform maintenance on the medians on Highway 62 Monday, August 6, and Tuesday, August 7 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. On Monday, the highway’s number one lane—or “fast” lane—will be closed in both directions between Hermosa Avenue and Hilton Avenue. On Tuesday, the number one lane will be closed on the highway in both directions between Old Woman Springs Road and Cherokee Trail.
