YUCCA VALLEY RECREATION RESTARTS CO-ED ADULT SLOW PITCH SOFTBALL

Attention softball players! Whether you are looking to join a league or maybe just drop in on a casual game now and then, Yucca Valley Recreation is ready to play ball. Reporter Heather Clisby has details…

The Yucca Valley Recreation Department is offering a six-week Thursday Night Adult Slow Pitch Co-ed Softball League.  In this “Fast Fall” program beginning September 2, teams will play a single “round robin” followed by playoffs and a championship game on October 7.

Teams will consist of 16 players on six teams and participants must be age 18 or over, with two minor-age players (age 16 and over) allowed per team. League fees are $200 per team; a deposit of $100 will hold a team spot (balance due August 26).

Register online at www.yucca-valley.org or in person at the Yucca Valley Community Center. For more info, contact Clayton Rardon at the Yucca Valley Community Services Department at 369-7211, extension 240 or [email protected]

And for those adults who want to play but without the weekly commitment, consider dropping in to a 30-minute co-ed softball game on Thursday nights at 6:00 p.m. starting August 10 and going through September 28 at the Community Center Softball Field.

Registration is $3 per person and space is limited; participants are encouraged to register online at yucca-valley.org, or in person at the Community Center. Players can also register online at the field each night via personal cell/device as space allows (no cash payment taken onsite).
