The late Huell Howser was a resident of Twentynine Palms and a good friend to our Morongo Basin Communities. The Town of Yucca Valley will be taking a bus to a new exhibit honoring him. Reporter Taylor Thacker tells you how to be on that bus…
The Town of Yucca Valley is offering a day trip to visit a fabulous exhibit dedicated to TV legend Huell Howser, on Friday, May 8. The joy that the late Huell Howser shared with generations of Californians infuses a new permanent exhibit at Chapman University that includes images, text, and artifacts, which outline Howser’s career and legacy in California. The excursion also features time for lunch on your own and browsing in charming Old Towne Orange. Old Towne Orange is a one-mile square area that is centered on the historic Orange Plaza, and is considered the heart of the City of Orange. Registration for the May 8 trip is available online at www.yucca-valley.org or in person at the Yucca Valley Community Center no later than April 30. For more information call 760-369-7211.
