A Yucca Valley man was arrested Tuesday following a probation compliance check. According to the Sheriff’s Department, probation officers went to the 1600 block of Deer Trail in Yucca Valley about 4 p.m. where they found a marijuana growing operation and 58-year-old Jay Klausing as well as ammunition. Klausing is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing ammunition. Jay Klausing was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of ammunition and marijuana cultivation and violating the terms of his probation, book into Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $160,000.
