YUCCA VALLEY PRANK GOES AWRY, ENDS WITH AN ARREST

A Yucca Valley man who was upset about a prank that was played on him was arrested Sunday evening, after the prankster said the victim robbed him. According to a Sheriff’s report, the two men were at the home of Ramiro Serrano, 34, in the 58800 block of Wildmar in Yucca Valley. The victim made Serrano think that there was someone outside his home. The victim told deputies that when Serrano learned it was a prank, Serrano punched him, pulled a knife on him and told the victim to give him his money and cell phone. The victim went to a neighbor’s house to call 911, at which time Serrano allegedly drove his truck at the victim. After an investigation, Ramiro Serrano was arrested on suspicion of robbery, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $100,000.
