Yucca Valley Recreation announces a Sunset 5K fun run Friday, August 25. Early bird registration is $20 through August 15 and includes a themed race shirt, souvenir gift and express check-in at the race. Registration on race day is $25 from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. with the race start at 7 p.m. Start and finish is at Machris Park, which is located at 58300 Santa Barbara Dr. The course offers moderate changes in elevation and a beautiful trek through one of Yucca Valley’s most scenic areas as the sun sets in the west.
