At tonight’s regularly scheduled meeting, the Commission will consider a variety of permits relating to Western Joshua Trees across Yucca Valley, including the transplant of 20 (on the 58000 block of Piedmont Drive, the 56000 block Skyline Ranch Road, and the 58000 block of Sunnyslope Drive), the trimming of five (on the 56000 block of Kismet Road) the encroachment of five (on the 57000 block of Warren Way, 7600 block of Apache Trail, 5600 block of Taos Trail, and the 57000 block of Redondo Street), and the destruction of one Western Joshua Tree (on the 6400 block of Del Monte Avenue). Also on the agenda is the removal of 36 Mojave Yuccas, 6 California Junipers, 4 Pinon Pines, and numerous exceptions to town property requirements for two residences. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center, and can also be attended online.
