There are currently more than three dozen projects planned or under construction in the town of Yucca Valley, ranging from curbs and sidewalks, paving, repairing or widening roads, and park improvements, to new stores, housing subdivisions, and commercial/retail centers. Some of the projects include Hibbett Sports, Popeye’s Chicken, renovating the old PFF Bank Building into the new library, and a widening of Highway 62 to six lanes from Old Woman Springs Road to Warren Vista Avenue. The Yucca Valley Planning Commission will receive an update on these projects and other projects at its regular meeting tonight, set for 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
