The Yucca Valley Planning Commission will consider a plan to destroy four Western Joshua Trees on Little League Drive at tonight’s meeting. With a rundown of their full agenda, here’s reporter Jef Harmatz.

At tonight’s regular meeting, the Commission will consider the destruction of four Joshua Trees on Little League Drive between Palm Ave and Sage Ave, and the transplant of a fifth from the same area. They will also consider the transplant of a Western Joshua Tree and the removal of a dead Western Joshua Tree on Onaga Trail between Acoma Trail and Palm Ave, as well as the encroachment of five Western Joshua Trees (at the 57000 block of Sunnyslope Drive, and the 7700, 7600, and 7500 blocks of Valley Vista) and the transplant of six Mojave Yuccas (at the 59000 block of Buena Vista Drive) at various locations around town. The Commission will again consider a long-discussed setback variance at a residence in the 6700 block of Lindberg Lane, and receive reports relating to short term vacation rentals in the 57000 block of Monticello Road and the 55000 block of Free Gold Dr. Finally, the Commission will receive the General Plan Annual Housing Element Progress Report.
