The Yucca Valley Planning Commission will hold a public hearing tonight to receive public input and discuss the use of short-term vacation rentals in Yucca Valley. Those who own short-term property rentals, or who are neighbors of vacation rentals, are encouraged to attend the hearing and present their thoughts and ideas. In other business, commissioners will hold a public hearing on a variance request by Steak n Shake to add three more signs, totaling an additional 520 square feet of signs, to the building. And commissioners will also be asked to approve a time extension for a previously approved mini storage facility at State Route 247 and Paseo Las Ninas. The meeting starts at 6 in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
