YUCCA VALLEY PLANNING COMMISSION TO SEAT WARREN LAVENDER, REVIEW SIGN REGULATIONS

The first item of business for tonight’s meeting of the Yucca Valley Planning Commission will be to swear in new commissioner Warren Lavender. Next on the agenda will be a review of the town’s sign regulations and alternative energy systems, including the banning of sign twirlers. Business owners and residents are encouraged to attend to provide their input on the formulation of ordinances, standards and regulations. Next up, the commission will hold three public hearing on development code amendments so that the Town is in compliance with state regulations concerning the housing element. The first one will be on ensuring equal access to housing; the second, allowing emergency transitional housing; and the third, pertaining to second dwelling units. The meeting will be held at 6:00 in the Yucca Room of the community center.
