YUCCA VALLEY PLANNING COMMISSION: REVISIT MARIJUANA BAN, SHORT TERM RENTALS

The Yucca Valley Planning Commission meet tonight. Managing Editor Tami Roleff says they will discuss whether to revisit their marijuana ban after getting incorrect information. They will also hold a public hearing on short-term vacation rentals…
At tonight’s meeting of the Yucca Valley Planning Commission, commissioners will once again hold a public hearing to review the proposed ordinance for short-term vacation rentals in the town. Then, at the request of Commissioner Charles McHenry, the commission will discuss whether it wants to revisit the issue of the marijuana ordinance, in light of the fact that commissioners have become aware that during the November election, a majority of Yucca Valley residents voted in favor of Prop 64, which legalized recreational marijuana in California. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
