In June, the Yucca Valley Planning Commission discussed granting a variance for Joshua Springs Cavalry Chapel, which wanted to install an electronic sign that was larger than allowed by the town’s sign ordinance. The planning commission denied the variance request, but requested authorization from the Town Council to review and revise the town’s sign ordinance. At tonight’s meeting, the planning commission will discuss the policy issues related to sign regulations for non-residential uses in residential zones. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
