The Advantec report focuses on identifying problem areas and designing a comprehensive plan to reduce traffic accidents and fatalities. The Commissioners also approved policy frameworks for amendments to mural regulations. Murals will be kept separate from signage, and future discussions and a public hearing will be scheduled. The final item discussed was the development of a code for fencing height; any fence that is six feet (6′) shall not impair visibility. Again, the Commissioners approved continuing discussions and public hearings. Lastly noted, the Town Manager, Curtis Yakimow, and Mayor, Jim Schooler, will be speaking at the Fish and Game Commission’s meeting today (June 15) on the status of the Joshua Tree and continuing regulations.
