There was little comment by the Yucca Valley Planning Commission at its meeting Tuesday night about regulations concerning the undergrounding of utilities for new construction in the Town. While the Commissioners agreed it was more aesthetically pleasing if the power lines were placed underground, it’s not always feasible or economical, especially in places that are especially rocky. The Commissioners asked that the ordinance include the option for waiving the requirement for undergrounding utilities under special conditions.
