At last night’s meeting, the Yucca Valley Planning Commission approved the setback variance request to reduce the required 75 foot setback for property at 8554 Kickapoo Trail, because if they didn’t, it would only leave 15 feet for the property owner to build a house. The members stated “approving this measure is a no brainer.” The Commission also chose John Terfehr as the new chair and Margie Trandem as vice chair. They thanked staff for keeping the public informed on road closures during the Morongo Basin’s recent storms.
