Among the items the Yucca Valley Planning Commission discussed at its meeting last night were street dedications and infrastructure improvements, noise standards, landscaping and water conservation, parking regulations, property maintenance regulations, and soil erosion and dust control. The Commission held off on its discussions on the sign ordinance and wind and solar energy, postponing those items to a future meeting, with a date yet to be determined, to give residents the opportunity to attend and give comments. Commissioner Vickie Bridenstein declined to accept the position of chair of the Planning Commission, accepting instead the position of vice chair. Tim Humphreville retained his seat as chair of the planning commission. The new Super Walmart is still on track to have its ribbon cutting in June. Grading permits were issued this week for Phase 2 of the Warren Vista Shopping Center. And the Town anticipates ground-breaking for the new senior housing project on Dumosa to begin in late May or early June.
