YUCCA VALLEY PLANNING COMMISSION LOOKS AT BURRTEC’S NATIVE PLANT PERMIT

The Yucca Valley Planning Commission will hold its regular meeting tonight on the agenda Burrtec’s project, and murals in Old Town. Assignment reporter Keith Bailey has the details on the agenda.

At tonight’s, Yucca Valley Planning Commission meeting the commissioners are expected to approve a Native Plant Permit for Burrtec’s request to relocate 23 Joshua trees located on their project site. A total of 108 Joshua trees were located within the project site. And 42 Joshua Trees were determined able to survive the transplanting procedures and processes. At the Planning Commission’s meeting on June, 18 the Town Council requested the Commissioners discuss murals in the old town area and their relationship to the Town’s sign regulations. The commissioners are expected to receive and file a report on this item. The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. tonight in the Yucca Valley Community Center at 57090 Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley.
