The Yucca Valley Planning Commission meets tonight. Managing editor Tami Roleff says accessory structures like casitas, guest houses, garages, and workshops are on the agenda again…
Among the items on the agenda for tonight’s meeting of the Yucca Valley Planning Commission, commissioners will once again be considering the issue of accessory structures. A resident at 8018 Palomar Avenue wants to build a 1,300-square foot garage between the home and street, and a second 880-square foot building behind the house, and the commission will be asked to approve these plans. Then, the commission will go on to review the regulations for second dwelling units and guest houses or casitas on single family residentially zoned property, and where accessory structures can be placed on properties. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
