The Yucca Valley Planning Commission approved native plant permits, an exterior color change, and the Five Year Capital Improvement Plan at their regular meeting last night. For more on this story, we go to reporter Jef Harmatz…
At Tuesday’s planning commission meeting, three native plant permits were approved as part of the consent agenda. The board also accepted recommendations from town staff to adopt the town’s Five Year Capital Improvements Program for fiscal years 2021/2022 through 2025/2026. (The program is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act because it is not a project and therefore meets qualifications for minimal environmental impact.) This program includes road projects town-wide, designs for the aquatic and recreation center, as well as upgrades to Tri-Valley Little League Field and the Senior Center. An exterior change to a building in the 54900 block of Twentynine Palms Highway was approved, after the commission’s requests for substituted paint colors were agreed to by the applicants.
