Tai chi is not only beautiful to watch, but it’s growing in popularity due to its low impact and effective results. The focus of the class is structured to accommodate people of almost any shape, size, or age. Novice, beginner, or advanced students are welcome. Classes are held at the Yucca Valley Community Center every Wednesday night from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The fee for this class is $30 per month. Pre-registration is required online at www.yucca-valley.org or in person at the Yucca Valley Community Center Monday through Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Stretch-N-Tone classes are offered Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. This low-impact aerobic workout includes flexibility and coordination exercises as well as mat work with weights and bands. The class is structured to accommodate people of almost any shape, size or age. Participants work at their own level and are led by experienced instructor. The cost for the drop-in style class is $2 at the door and the first class is free.
