A Yucca Valley mother was arrested Tuesday, accused of child abuse. According to a Sheriff’s report, the unidentified child went home from school Monday and got into an argument with Tracy Banning, 44, of the 6400 block of Balboa Avenue. The child told deputies Tuesday that Banning had hit her after school on Monday, and deputies observed significant swelling and bruising to the child’s face. After an investigation, Tracy Banning was arrested on suspicion of felony child abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $100,000.
