The construction of the median island at Highway 62 and Dumosa Avenue in Yucca Valley will begin today, March 18, and is expected to take three to four weeks to complete. The highway will receive temporary striping, and travel lanes will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. for three to four weeks. Both travel lanes in each direction will be open at the end of each work day and on weekends. Motorists are encouraged to use of alternative routes to avoid the construction project.
